Workshop Dramatic Acting Scenes with Film & TV Star, Charlie Plummer. You might recognize Charlie from Hulu’s LOOKING FOR ALASKA, HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE, or the films ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD, THE CLOVEHITCH KILLER, and LEAN ON PETE. Charlie got his start at our studio, where he met his manager at a workshop.
Charlie will work with students on TV and Film scenes. Learn how to give a natural, nuanced and subtle performance by working on active listening skills and identifying intentions. The goal in Charlie’s class is to begin to develop the skills necessary to create authentic and believable characters.
Our final class will include a Q&A with Charlie and his Talent Manager, Kim Pedell of Zoom Talent!

Throughout his career as a manager and agent, Mitchell has repped, discovered and developed many noteworthy actors, including Jennifer Lawrence (THE HUNGER GAMES, SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK), Rachel Brosnahan (THE MARVELOUS MRS. Each week, participants will explore a set of values that, when present in an actor of any age, can help create a structure for great acting to occur. The nature of every actor's work springs from their unique instinct and memory. The work done in the Zoom Lab will playfully explore getting beyond "good" acting. We will discover how an actor’s instincts can emerge and be exercised in their work, and how this can inspire what makes up “great” acting.

ACANY has been offering programs online since March 2020 to great success. Our virtual open house is for parents and students who would like to see what separates our online performing arts education from the rest!

Voice-over acting is unlike any other type of acting. It requires an actor to make specific and original acting choices that are outside of the box using just their voice.
Focus of Class:
• Create animated characters for cartoons and feature films
• Work on naturalistic reads for commercials, promos and radio spots
• Learn how to nail VO auditions
• Showcase what you’ve learned for a top Scouting VO Talent Agent from DDO Artists Agency
Final Presentation and Q&A:
Towards the end of the 2nd day, perform for family, friends and a scouting Voice-Over Talent Agent from DDO Artists Agency, a top bi-coastal firm! We’ll conclude with a Q&A (time permitting).
