Learn two essential skills in one dynamic class! Train in the art of Disney & Nick-style sitcom acting and audition techniques while developing the fundamentals of voice-over acting. Whether you're stepping in front of the camera or behind the microphone, this class gives you the tools to build confidence, versatility, and performance skills for both mediums.
Focus of Class:
• Learn to identify comedic clues within the text, how to land jokes and bring out the funny!
• Learn how to use your physicality on camera!
• Work in an actual recording studio and learn how to master inflection, intention and tone!
• Learn how to avoid popping sounds, reverb and other distracting things that can happen during a VO audition or performance!
• Learn proper on-camera sitcom acting and audition technique!
Final Showcase:
Each 5-Week Session ends in Showcase for family & a few Scouting Talent Reps!

Casey Likes is an award-winning and critically acclaimed actor, singer, writer, director, known for his acclaimed leading performances on Broadway as Marty Mcfly in BACK TO THE FUTURE (OCC Nom), William in ALMOST FAMOUS (Theatre World Award), and recently Off-Broadway as JD in HEATHERS THE MUSICAL! Recently, Casey starred in MGM’s film DARK HARVEST and as KISS legend Gene Simmons in SPINNING GOLD. Casey is also a Jimmy Awards Finalist!
Focus of Class:
• Sing and receive individual feedback and coaching on your 32-bar song cut from Broadway Star, Casey Likes
• Learn if your song is a good choice for you and if it showcases your unique personality and vocal range
• Learn how to interpret a song and break it down into acting beats
• Class will conclude with an informative Q&A (time permitting)

It’s often challenging to get in front of Talent Agents and Managers. A Class Act NY’s industry showcases provide aspiring actors the unbelievable opportunity to perform for 12-15 (or more) scouting agents & managers in one evening.

The biggest agencies and management firms in town attend our showcases including CESD, Stewart Talent, DDO Artists, Zuri, Industry Entertainment Partners, Avalon Artists, Take 3 Talent, and many more.
The Showcase Includes
• The chance to perform in the audition room for 15 or more Scouting Agents & Managers
• A 50-minute virtual coaching session with:
• Non-Singers: A Broadway/TV/Film Coach
• Singers: A Broadway/TV/Film Coach and a Broadway Music Director
** An in-person coaching is available for an additional $140 fee.
