His work is complex\, both lyrically and rhythmically. Together\, we will demystify Sondheim’s works by analyzing the text\, and the music\, so that we may tell a wonderfully layered\, memorable and authentic performance through song. \nStephen Schwartz (WICKED\, GODSPELL\, PIPPIN) writes beautifully enchanting\, “popular” music! His songs are also complex and can be difficult to sing. Together\, let’s work on the acting beats within the text\, vocal dynamics\, harmonies and more! \nStephen Flaherty (RAGTIME\, ANASTASIA\, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND) like our other Stephens\, is also a super prolific composer! His work is performed by actors of all ages\, young and old! He writes beautifully haunting songs that tell a great story! A Class Act NY’s industry showcases provide aspiring actors the unbelievable opportunity to perform for 12-15 (or more) scouting agents & managers in one evening. \nPrevious participants are now working professionally! Many are booking television series\, films\, voice-overs\, commercials and Broadway shows.
