This class takes us from point A, the self-tape audition, all the way to point Z, after you have booked the job and wind up on set!
We’ll create self-tapes during class time! Learn how to have a killer audition with a reader!
After we have created our self-tapes, we imagine you have booked the job and show up to set! Get ready to work alongside a scene partner as opposed to working alone in an audition!
See how working alone in a vacuum with a reader changes when you are paired up with a scene partner!
Work with your director who will offer notes on your performance, just as you would if you were to land a TV or Film job! Also work on blocking technique for the camera!
Students will also play different roles other than “actor” during our time together: play the role of camera operator, hair and make-up and script supervisor.
Final Showcase(s) for Loved Ones & Talent Reps
Class concludes in a short presentation of material we have workshopped for a few scouting agents and managers.
Focus of Class:
• Learn how to make a fabulous and professional self-tape that sets you apart from the rest
• Learn how to give a natural, nuanced and subtle performance for the camera
• Master physicality when performing on-camera material
• Work on active listening skills, learn how to make quick adjustments, and how to be a generous scene partner
• Final Showcase for loved ones & a few Scouting Agents and Managers
