Learn both the art of voice acting and comedic TV acting in this comprehensive Disney/Nick Voice-Over & Sitcom Class!
Lots of Disney & Nick shows employ voice-overs in their episodes. Familiar with LIV & MADDIE or STUCK IN THE MIDDLE? Watch a few episodes of these hit Disney shows to see what we mean!
During our Voice-Over section, we will work in a professional recording studio!
For the On-Camera section, we will work in a traditional studio with on-camera equipment.
WEEKS 1-4: VOICE-OVER ACTING
In the Voice-Over Booth at Ripley-Grier Studios
Focus of Voice-Over Classes:
• Promos: Advertisements for TV & Radio!
• Cartoons & Animated Feature Films: Learn how to bring animated characters to life!
BONUS: We’ll also learn proper mic technique when working in the professional recording studio.
WEEKS 5-11: ON-CAMERA ACTING
For the remaining weeks, we’ll work in a traditional studio with on-camera equipment.
Focus of the On-Camera Section:
• Learn to identify comedic clues within the text, how to land jokes and bring out the funny in TV scripts!
• Learn how to use your physicality on camera!
• Learn proper on-camera sitcom acting and audition technique!
WEEK 10: REVIEW DAY BEFORE THE FINAL SHOWCASE
Run through, notes and adjustments will be given in the traditional studio.
WEEK 11: FINAL SHOWCASE WITH SCOUTING TALENT REPS
Perform pieces you have worked on from both sections for loved ones and a few scouting Agents & Managers!
