Online Musical Theatre Camps

Our online musical theatre summer camps give students the unique opportunity to work on the three essential disciplines that make up musical theatre performance: singing, dancing and acting. Instructors include prominent Broadway Stars, Music Directors and Industry Pros who will provide students with a superior education in a fun and supportive environment! We’ve been utilizing Zoom for our programs since early March to great success! Camp days will be shorter and class sizes will be smaller in this new format to ensure a positive experience for all.

Broadway Bound Camp

In this musical theatre intensive, campers will work with a veteran of the Broadway stage and a professional music director all week long!

Final Showcase: On the final day of camp, campers will perform a Musical Revue for friends and family at a beautiful and professional Broadway studio space in the heart of NYC!

Our youngest performers will be introduced to the beloved story of Little Orphan Annie in this one-week musical theatre summer camp!

ACANY has been offering programs online since early March to great success. Our virtual camp fair is for parents who would like to see what separates our online performing arts education from the rest!

Daily Dance + Warm-Up
Each camp day will begin with an energizing and educational vocal and physical warm-up with our Broadway Director.

Private Lessons
During the week, campers will receive a free 45 minute one-on-one session with their Broadway Director to supplement what they’ve learned during the week, and a free 15 minute dance private with a professional choreographer. Lessons will take place outside of normal camp hours.

Workshops
Campers will take educational workshops led by their Broadway Director and Special Guest Instructors throughout the week! Workshops include: Musical Theatre Scene Study, Nailing the Cold Read, Acting Through Song and Proper Vocal Technique and Stage Combat.

On the last day of the program, campers will perform in an online final showcase for family and friends!

Begin each day with an energizing and educational vocal and physical warm-up with our Broadway Director and Music Director.

Broadway Matinee & Talk-Back
Participants will be treated to a matinee performance of Broadway's FUNNY GIRL and attend a talkback with actors after the show! (Talk-backs are subject to be moved to the studio depending on COVID-19 policies at Broadway Theatres)

Private Lessons, Group Instruction and Advanced Masterclasses
A combination of private and group instruction will provide participants with a unique week-long experience. Participants will also take a series of advanced masterclasses with visiting Broadway guest artists designed to challenge and elevate our actors' skill set.

Industry Showcase w/ Scouting Talent Reps
On Thursday evening, perform in an invited dress rehearsal for 5 or more scouting talent reps! Many of our past participants have been discovered at this very program. For a list of recent student achievements, click here.

Final Showcase: Off-Broadway Debut
The Pre-Professional Program culminates in a final showcase at an off-Broadway Theatre for loved ones!

Daily Dance + Warm-Up
Begin each day with an energizing and educational vocal and physical warm-up with our Broadway Director and Music Director. 

Broadway Matinee & Talk-Back
On Wednesday, participants will be treated to a matinee performance of KIMBERLY AKIMBO (nominated for 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical) and attend a talkback with actors after the show!

Private Lessons, Group Instruction and Advanced Masterclasses
A combination of private and group instruction will provide participants with a unique week-long experience. Participants will also take a series of advanced masterclasses with visiting Broadway guest artists designed to challenge and elevate our actors' skill set. 

Industry Showcase w/ Scouting Talent Reps
On Thursday evening, perform in an invited dress rehearsal for 5 or more scouting talent reps! Many of our past participants have been discovered at this very program. For a list of recent student achievements, click here.

Final Showcase: Off-Broadway Debut
The Pre-Professional Program culminates in a final showcase at an off-Broadway Theatre for loved ones!

Live out your dreams of starring on a hit TV series with L.A. Director and famous On-Set Acting Coach, Jason Shipman

Jason’s credits include a mind blowing number of projects for DISNEY, NETFLIX, AMAZON, HBO, NICKELODEON, APPLE KIDS, SYFY, and UNIVERSAL, among others. He made his television directing debut on AMAZON’s hit serial-mystery, JUST ADD MAGIC which starred our alum, Kirrilee Berger, followed by multiple episodes of DISNEY’S Emmy Nominated sitcom, BUNK’D! 

Jason just directed and coached Disney’s newest series, PRETTY FREAKIN’ SCARY, which airs June 15th!

Recently, Jason was brought on to coach episodes of APPLE’S Emmy-Nominated GHOST WRITER, and their youth series, CIRCUIT BREAKERS, as well as HBO’s WESTWORLD, RESIDENT ALIEN on SyFy, and multiple sitcoms for the DISNEY CHANNEL. 

Other on-Set sitcom coaching credits include BIZAARDVARK, JESSIE, DOG WITH A BLOG, I DIDN’T DO IT, RICHIE RICH, THE FRESH BEAT BAND & more!

Selected by the Directors Guild of America, Jason was admitted to their 2020 Director Development Initiative, where he was identified as an emerging television director to watch.

Young performers will be introduced to the beloved story of WILLY WONKA KIDS in this one-week musical theatre summer camp!

Campers rehearse songs, dance numbers and scenes from WILLY WONKA, learn proper singing technique and expand their theatrical knowledge under the guidance of a Professional Actor/Singer and Teaching Artist!

Campers also craft props and set pieces that will be incorporated into the final performance!

Bring a pillow and blanket for a short nap time!

Final Showcase:
On Friday afternoon, our performers present a paired down performance of WILLY WONKA KIDS for family and friends at the studio!

Focus of Camp:
• Learn fun song-and-dance numbers from WILLY WONKA KIDS
• Make your own props and set pieces
• Perform in a final showcase for family and friends
