Learn about the rewards and challenges of creating a character from the ground up, and working with a developing script.
Brief Plot Summary: Loretta Vern is celebrating her 14th birthday at her favorite escape room, “Trapped” on the Mort Weber Highway. She comes with three of her closest friends. She’s been a hundred times. She’s actually a record holder for the room, her picture is on the wall. She has escaped in one minute and thirty five seconds. They greet her with a big smile. They enter the escape room, but something is off. The usual book that is removable that hides the skeleton key is gone. The usual emcee is out and someone else is hosting. Suddenly, they realize they are trapped, and they need to actually escape.
As they make their way through this actual disaster, they face a variety of issues as they are scared completely out of their wits. They realize that the escape room has been taken over by actual villains and the only way out is to outsmart and defeat the villains. The phones lines are dead, cell service is down, doors are locked. How will they get out? Will Loretta ever get her birthday cake?
Staged Performance: The week will culminate in the WORLD PREMIERE of ESCAPE! for an audience filled with family, friends, and industry guests!

Mr. Creel recently won a Tony for his portrayal of Cornelius Hackl in HELLO, DOLLY, in which he co-starred alongside Bette Midler and David Hyde Pierce. Gavin was also nominated in the category of Best Actor twice before. First for his portrayal of Jimmy Smith in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and then for his portrayal of Claude in HAIR!

Workshops with Broadway Actors: In addition to working with their main Broadway instructor, Broadway Bound campers will also take workshops with various Broadway guest artists throughout the week!
Broadway Matinee: Campers will see a matinee of KING KONG (3 Tony Award Noms) and attend a talkback with the cast!
Final Showcase: On the final day of camp, campers will perform a Musical Revue for friends and family at a beautiful and professional Broadway studio space in the heart of NYC!

In this one week intensive, Jason will bring lucky participants through every aspect of television acting from the audition to rehearsals to the live studio audience taping!

Our youngest performers will be introduced to the beloved story of Little Orphan Annie in this one-week musical theatre summer camp!
Each day, lucky campers rehearse songs, dance numbers and scenes from ANNIE, learn proper singing technique and expand their theatrical knowledge under the guidance of a Professional Actor/Singer and Teaching Artist!
Final Showcase: On the last day of camp, our performers present a workshop performance of ANNIE Kids for family and friends at the studio!

Learn how to quickly pick up text with no time to prepare, break down the script and bring your best self to the audition room despite your lack of time with the material. Every week, students will be presented with new material!
Have an on-camera audition coming up? Coach your audition sides! Depending on registration there will be at least 10 minutes to dedicate to reviewing your material with the instructor.
Final Showcase:
On the last day, there will be a final showcase attended by a few talent reps and loved ones! Even if you haven’t been with us for the entire semester, you are invited to participate in the showcase and perform a cold read!

We are beyond thrilled to be working with one of the industries most in-demand and prolific TV and Film Directors, Mr. Jon Rosenbaum. He has by far the most extensive credits and experience of anyone we have ever worked with! You do not want to miss Jon’s workshops!
Jon has carved a niche in the comedy and ‘tween’ genres, thanks to his quirky sensibility and love of collaborating with young talent. His material has spanned many other genres as well, and has involved partnerships with some of the top networks and production companies, including DISNEY, NICKELODEON, NETFLIX, AMAZON, NBC/UNIVERSAL, FOX, SYFY, LIFETIME, and the CARTOON NETWORK. He considers himself extremely fortunate to be doing what he loves – directing series, pilots and movies that keep his creative juices flowing.
