PSYKIDZ: A New Musical

As the psychic kids develop their skills and subsequently heal the conflicted relationships with their families, they each become more confident and accepting of their special abilities, ultimately becoming more confident with who they are. Kevin is also one of the few Broadway actors who has been nominated for Tony Awards in three out of four acting categories: Best Actor in a Play (Dirty Blonde), Best Actor in a Musical (Seussical) and Best Featured Actor in a Musical (The Addams Family).

Singers Must Also Prepare:

Commercial acting is harder than it looks! You never get the copy in advance so it’s almost always a COLD READ AUDITION! And, oftentimes, the casting director will ask you to IMPROV the material and put it into your own words!

In our drop in class, students will learn how to nail cold read commercial auditions and how to improv for the camera!

Learn how to quickly analyze commercial copy and find the acting beats within the text to make a lasting impression on both casting directors and on ad agency executives!

Actors will learn to identify clues within the text as well as physical techniques that allow them to deliver material in a way that will set them apart in their auditions.

Final class will feature a showcase for family, friends, and scouting industry guests!

Teen Sitcom Acting is an on-camera class geared toward actors interested in learning techniques found in popular sitcoms starring teens, such as MODERN FAMILY, BLACKISH, SPEECHLESS, THE MIDDLE, AWKWARD, THE REAL O’NEALS, THE UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, YOUNG & HUNGRY, FRESH OFF THE BOAT, SUBURGATORY and ALEXA AND KATIE!

Comedy is a more difficult art to excel at than drama. In this class, we will learn how to bring out the funny in TV sides (audition scripts) so you can be more successful in the audition room and on set!

• Learn to identify comedic clues within the text as well as physical techniques to deliver the material
• Learn specific blocking technique and overall terminology used on set
• Learn proper audition technique that will set you apart in auditions
