Parents are invited to join A Class Act NY, the award-winning acting studio, on ZOOM for a FREE preview of what Winter and Spring 2021 programs will look like online!
We are continuing to offer online classes and workshops in musical theatre, dramatic arts, dance, on-camera, and voice-over! We will also be offering amazing virtual production opportunities!
ACANY has been offering programs online since March 2020 to great success. Our virtual open house is for parents and students who would like to see what separates our online performing arts education from the rest!
Join us for some or all of the evening- feel free to zoom in and out as you wish! We highly recommend watching the session with your child!

The session will include:
• A quick introduction to the program
• A demo of how classes will be run featuring ACANY students and members of our faculty
• A Q&A with ACANY’s administrative staff to answer any parent questions
This session will just scratch the surface of what we’ll be covering throughout the winter and spring. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of what a typical online class will look like.
Most classes will be 2 hours long, and will feature small group instruction (10-12 students per classroom, max).

Bonnie helps young actors succeed! An acting career consultant, she is the author of acclaimed books The Hollywood Parents Guide and Young Hollywood Actors, as well as the producer of the popular Hometown to Hollywood Podcast.
Mother of Emmy Award-Winning actress and Columbia Music recording artist Dove Cameron (DESCENDANTS, LIV AND MADDIE, HAIRSPRAY LIVE!) and Hollywood voice coach Claire Hosterman, Bonnie was also a non-profit theatre board member for 12 years.
Before founding A Class Act NY, Jessica worked at two premier talent agencies and in casting in both NYC and CA! As the artistic director of ACANY, Jessica works closely with bicoastal casting directors, agents and managers. Once upon a time, she was also a performer and received her degree from the University of Michigan!

DEAR EVAN HANSEN Star, Alex Boniello’s Online Monologue Masterclass

Alex Boniello is a Broadway Star, most recently seen as Connor Murphy in DEAR EVAN HANSEN on Broadway. Before DEAR EVAN HANSEN, Alex was best known for portraying the voice of Moritz in Deaf West’s 2015 revival of SPRING AWAKENING. Other theatre credits include: Lin Manuel Miranda’s Musical BROOKLYNITE (Off-Broadway, Original Cast Recording) and AMERICAN IDIOT (National Tour). Alex is also a Tony winning producer! He produced the hit, HADESTOWN!
Alex will be working one-on-one via the Zoom app with his students! Perform a one minute monologue for Alex who will offer each participant individual guidance and feedback on their interpretation, audition technique and presentation!
Learn how to break down a monologue into its purest elements! Learn to identify your character's objective, conflicts, and more!
Class will conclude with an informative Q&A!
Students participating in this class must be prepared to perform a one minute monologue.

This class takes us from point A, the self-tape audition, all the way to point Z, after you have booked the job and wind up on set!
We’ll create self-tapes during class time! Learn how to have a killer audition with a reader!
After we have created our self-tapes, we imagine you have booked the job and show up to set! Get ready to work alongside a scene partner as opposed to working alone in an audition!
Once on set, learn how to take notes from your director, and make quick adjustments, and learn how to be a generous scene partner! Also work on blocking techniques for the camera!
