Build skills through rehearsing iconic musical theatre numbers, and participating in educational workshops with visiting Broadway actors!
In addition, attend a Broadway Matinee and perform in a Musical Revue for loved ones at our professional Broadway rehearsal studio!
Workshops with Broadway Actors Include:
• Broadway Dance: Learn a fun combo from a hit Broadway show like THE OUTSIDERS, CHICAGO, MEAN GIRLS, or HAMILTON!
• Stage Combat: Learn how to throw a punch that will only look like it hurts!
• Scene Study: Learn script analysis skills & the fundamentals of acting!
• Improvisation & Theatre Games: Learn how to analyze situations quickly and think on your feet! Learn how to recover quickly when things go awry in a live theatre performance!

A Class Act NY’s Pre-Professional Program is for advanced musical theatre actors who are ready for the challenge of honing their singing, dancing, & acting skills through exploring more advanced work.
Audition Instructions
Perform a 32-bar cut of a musical theatre song, a cappella, and email to auditions@aclassactny.com. More audition instructions below.
DEADLINE FOR AUDITION VIDEOS:
We are on a rolling admissions basis. There is no hard & fast deadline. However, the program is limited to a small number of advanced performers, and we cannot hold spots, so we suggest you send it in ASAP to avoid winding up on a wait list!

Daily Dance + Warm-Up
Begin each day with an energizing and educational vocal and physical warm-up with our Broadway Director and Music Director.

Private Lessons, Group Instruction and Advanced Masterclasses
A combination of private and group instruction will provide participants with a unique week-long experience. Participants will also take a series of advanced masterclasses with visiting Broadway guest artists designed to challenge and elevate our actors' skill set.

The Pre-Professional Program culminates in a final showcase at an off-Broadway Theatre for loved ones.

Hone your acting chops in a fun, safe and supportive environment in Character Camp: An Acting Program, taught by amazing On-Camera, Voice-Over and Broadway faculty!

Focus of Camp:
• Sitcom Acting: Learn how to break down a comedy script beat by beat to identify comedic clues within the text, and work on bringing out the funny in sitcom scenes!
• Voice-Over: Learn how to create living, breathing characters for cartoons and animated feature films, commercials, and radio spots in an actual recording studio!
• Stage Combat: Learn how to throw a punch that will only look like it hurts!
• Physicality: Explore how movement can bring characters to life!
• Dialect Coaching: Learn how to speak like you’re from New York, the South, and the UK!
Learn how to make bold and interesting character choices and deepen performance skills through a series of workshops and rehearsals.

FROZEN KIDS Camp

Instructor: Professional Director, Singer, Performer, Rebecca O’Sullivan Reres (HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR, INTO THE WOODS JR, Gilbert & Sullivan Players)
Young performers will be introduced to the beloved story of FROZEN KIDS in our one-week musical theatre summer camp!
Campers rehearse songs, dance numbers and scenes from FROZEN KIDS learn proper singing technique and expand their theatrical knowledge under the guidance of a Professional Performer & Director and a Teaching Artist!
Campers also craft props and set pieces that will be incorporated into the final performance!
Bring a pillow and blanket for a short nap time!
Focus of Camp:
• Learn fun song-and-dance numbers from FROZEN KIDS
• Make your own props and set pieces
• Perform in a final showcase for family and friends
Final Showcase:
On Friday afternoon, our performers present an abridged performance of FROZEN KIDS for family and friends at the studio!
