Ideal for serious young performers who are passionate about strengthening their musical theatre audition skills.
Every musical theatre performer should have a well-rounded audition book featuring songs from a variety of musical theatre genres. Whether you’re auditioning for school productions, community theatre, college programs, or professional opportunities, this class will help you build a stronger, more versatile repertoire.
Students will leave with at least two audition-ready, contrasting 32-bar audition cuts from different musical theatre styles while refining their audition technique with our Broadway teaching team.
Each class also begins with a mock dance audition to help students become more comfortable learning choreography quickly—a valuable skill, especially for MOVERS – performers who don’t consider themselves strong dancers.
Focus Of Class:
• Build 2 contrasting, audition-ready 32-bar cuts
• Explore musical theatre styles including Pop/Rock, Golden Age, Jukebox, Operetta, and more
• Strengthen song interpretation and storytelling
• Improve vocal technique, dynamics, tone, pitch, and presentation
• Learn proper audition etiquette and how to work with a Music Director
• Gain confidence and learn how to make a memorable impression in the audition room
• Practice mock dance auditions each week
Final Showcase for Loved Ones & Talent Reps
Perform your audition material for family, friends, and a few invited scouting talent agents and managers.
