Commercial acting is harder than it looks! You never get the copy in advance so it’s almost always a COLD READ AUDITION! Young actors will learn how to nail cold read commercial auditions. Budding thespians will learn how to quickly analyze commercial copy and find the acting beats within the text to make a lasting impression on both casting directors and on ad agency executives! Improvisation also plays a crucial role in commercial auditions. Actors will learn to identify comedic clues within the text as well as physical techniques that allow them to deliver material in a way that will set them apart in their auditions. Sharpen your improv skills and learn how to incorporate them into your performance. The 5-week program culminates with a Final Showcase for friends, family as well as Talent Reps in which students have an opportunity to showcase their talent. The class is geared toward young actors who are serious about their work. A considerable amount of memorization and homework will be required.

Actors who are interested in auditioning for musical theatre programs will benefit from working with the Enrollment Manager at Pace University’s School of the Arts, a Broadway Actor and Pace University School of the Arts Adjunct Professor and a professional Music Director. The Enrollment Manager will give students in inside look at the pre-screen process and what he wants to see in applicants. The lovable and beloved Kevin Chamberlin, three-time Tony Nominee and Broadway’s original Horton the Elephant in SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL, UNCLE FESTER in THE ADDAMS FAMILY, and upcoming role as the Wizard in WICKED, will be teaching an amazing Audition Masterclass for aspiring actors ages 8 - 18.
Kevin will be working one-on-one with each student! Sing a 32 bar mock audition for Kevin, (otherwise known as Bertram from his days on the Disney hit show, JESSIE) who will offer each student individual guidance and feedback on their audition technique and song interpretation! As if that weren't enough, learn if your song is a good showcase of you and your unique talents!

A straight acting, non-musical theatre camp great for both the thespian and the musical theatre actor!
Through a variety of techniques and workshops in scene study, on-camera and voiceover technique, script analysis, physicality exercises, improvisation and more, campers will finish the week with plenty of new skills to add to their actor’s toolbox.
Actors will split time between an acting studio and a professional voice-over studio! Camp culminates in a final showcase of scene work and newly learned skills for family and friends at an exciting Off-Broadway Theatre!

The performance is designed to showcase the skills and challenging material students have mastered throughout the week.
