Singers: 32 bars of a musical theatre song to be sung a cappella AND a one-minute, age-appropriate monologue from a published play. Non-Singers: One-minute, age-appropriate monologue from a published play. Monologues MUST be memorized and conversational in tone. Bring 2 copies with you!

A straight acting, non-musical theatre camp great for both the thespian and the musical theatre actor!
Through a variety of techniques and workshops in scene study, on-camera and voiceover technique, script analysis, physicality exercises, improvisation and more, campers will finish the week with plenty of new skills to add to their actor’s toolbox.
Actors will split time between an acting studio and a professional voice-over studio! Camp culminates in a final showcase of scene work and newly learned skills for family and friends at an exciting Off-Broadway Theatre!

Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to work on a real TV series?
Now’s your chance! In our new on-camera summer program, actors will experience every aspect of television acting from the audition to rehearsals to the live taping with WALK THE PRANK and LIV AND MADDIE Disney Director, Wendy Faraone! All of the scenes used for this class will be pulled from actual sitcoms!
** Superstar session - credits cannot be applied toward this program.

An original musical about our hidden abilities and the fears that come with being “different”, PSYKIDZ follows three youngsters from various backgrounds who are chosen by world renowned psychic-medium Skylar Quinn to get specialized on-site training at a newly discovered site that has sent scientists and archeologists running in fear. As the psychic kids develop their skills and subsequently heal the conflicted relationships with their families, they each become more confident and accepting of their special abilities, ultimately becoming more confident with who they are. In this comprehensive musical theatre program, campers will work with a Broadway Actor and Professional Music Director on song and dance numbers from different eras in Broadway history, from the old classics to the hits of today!
Campers will take workshops with throughout the week including Broadway Dance, Improvisation and Stage Combat.
Final Showcase: On the final day of camp, campers will perform in a Musical Revue for friends and family!

In this comprehensive 5-day program, campers will hone all 3 major components of Musical Theatre performance: singing, dancing and acting.
Throughout the week, campers will learn numbers from beloved Broadway musicals, see a matinee performance of Broadway's splashiest new musical SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS and perform in a final showcase at the JCC’s state of the art 200 seat theatre!

ACANY is holding auditions for our Advanced Weekly Classes, Agent & Manager Showcase, February Cabaret, and our Summer Pre-Professional Program on Saturday, Jan. 12 and Monday, Jan. 21 (No School – MLK Day).
Audition Instructions:
All Actors Must Prepare: One-minute monologue from a published play.
• Note: you do not need to prepare a monologue for the Cabaret audition
Singers: If you are a singer, please sing 32 bars a cappella of a musical theatre song.
