It’s imperative that auditioning actors have a book of music that is well-rounded and filled with song cuts from different musical theatre genres.
It matters not if you are auditioning for your local amateur school or community theatre productions, or for professional shows!
Be prepared for any audition that may come your way!
In each 6-week session, students will walk away with at least 2 contrasting audition ready song cuts from different musical theatre genres.
Whether it’s a pop rock cut, a golden age cut, or an operetta cut, you will have a more comprehensive book of music by the time you leave our class!
Improve your audition technique and put your best foot forward in the casting room!
Each class will also begin with a mock dance audition!
This is especially important practice for our MOVERS, i.e., people who are not strong dancers!
Focus Of Class:
• Hone two contrasting 32-bar song cuts from different musical genres (Pop Rock, Jukebox, Golden Age, Rock, Operettas, Pastiches, Revues, Country, etc)!
• Hone song interpretation, presentation skills, vocal dynamics, tone, pitch, and more with our Broadway Team
• Learn how to talk to the Music Director and learn the do’s and don’ts of auditioning
• Learn how to leave a lasting impression in the audition room
Final Showcase(s) for Loved Ones & Talent Reps
Each 6-week Session concludes with a short presentation of material we have worked on for loved ones and a few Scouting Talent Agents and Managers.
