Mitchell believes the most exciting way to explore material is not through thoughts alone, but through “ACTIONS” – through what you are DOING with your body. Bring ACTions into the work creates a stronger, more visceral connection to the material. But as importantly, it also provides a means of showing the most unique feature any actor can present: THEMSELVES in the work.
Students will receive monologues in advance of class and Mitchell will offer direction and coaching to lucky participants!
Mitchell is a passionate teacher, informed by his own rich theatrical background. He creates an active, creative and safe space for actors to explore their instincts and develop their craft.
Mitchell is known for running renowned scouting operations! He continues to discover the next generation of artists. Mitchell is always looking for fresh faces!

STRUCTURE OF CLASS: Be advised that Mitchell will spend more time with the first couple of students. He will use these students as guinea pigs to show his approach to acting. Students are expected to be observing and taking mental and written notes so that when it’s their turn to get on their feet, they can apply what he has said in their performance.
