Desi Oakley starred as Elphaba & Nessarose in WICKED! Desi Oakley’s Broadway credits include LES MIS (Fantine), ANNIE (Lily St. Regis), EVITA (Eva Perón), and she just wrapped up the Broadway Tour of WAITRESS where she starred as Jenna! She can also be seen on the hit TV show GOTHAM!
PART 1: WICKED Workshop
Join Broadway Cast Member of WICKED, Desi Oakley who played Elphaba & Nessarose on the Great White Way for a one-day musical theatre WICKED themed workshop! Participants will learn a WICKED song and dance combo with Desi and a professional Music Director. Desi Oakley will also host a lively Question and Answer Session about her experience in this ‘popular’ musical.
Desi will be signing autographs and taking pics with students, so bring your playbills!
Focus of Part 1:
• Learn a Song and Dance Combination from WICKED with WICKED Cast Member, Desi Oakley & a wonderful Music Director
PART 2: Audition Technique with Desi Oakley
Whether you want to go pro or not, learn how to snag a coveted role in a local or professional production!
Desi Oakley and our wonderful Music Director will offer helpful feedback and coaching on 16 bar cut mock auditions and will teach participants audition protocol and technique!
Focus of Part 2:
• Mock Audition – Bring in a 16-bar cut of a musical theatre song and sing for Desi and our MD
• Receive individual feedback and coaching on your audition piece
• Q&A Session with Desi
• Autograph/Photo Session about show business with Desi Oakley
