Our Musical Theatre Weekly Classes give students the unique opportunity to work on the three essential disciplines that make up musical theatre: singing, dancing and acting. This summer, A Class Act NY is offering nine five-day NYC programs in Musical Theatre, TV/Film, Voice-Over, and Straight Acting, taught by an exceptional faculty of Broadway performers, TV and Film actors, Voice-Over artists, and top Industry Professionals. Our programs also feature instruction from L.A. Disney Channel TV Directors and Bi-Coastal Talent Agents and Managers from both Los Angeles and New York.
This session will include:
• An overview of each of our nine one-week summer programs
• A live Q&A with Jessica, who will answer all of your questions about training, placement, and program expectations

Want to improve your audition technique? Learn the ins and outs of every aspect of the musical theatre audition experience from acting to singing and dance, with a Broadway artist and music director!
Each class begins with a fun warm up - a mock dance audition!
Weeks 1 - 3: Daily Dance & The 32-Bar Cut Audition
Bring in one of your go-to 32 bar cuts, and receive expert feedback and coaching. Work on song interpretation, audition technique and presentation skills. Need a 32 bar cut? Contact us for a private voice lesson!
Week 4 - 5: Daily Dance & Chemistry Reads (Scene Work)
Team up with a “co-star” and work on a scene from a popular Broadway musical. Work as a group to analyze the text, and discover important techniques for musical theatre acting. Learn how to stand out from your competition in auditions.
Week 6: Final Showcase for Family, Friends, and Scouting Talent Reps!
