On-Camera Instructor: RJ Brown (Series Regular on 13 REASONS WHY, CARRIE DIARIES, GIRLS)

Focus of Class:
In this comprehensive course, we will cover the ins and outs of 3 popular forms of TV series: Procedurals, Sitcoms and Serial Dramas.

Not only will students learn how to act for these different types of popular TV series, they will also learn lingo and on-camera staging technique that is specific to each one.

Your instructor, RJ Brown, is best known for playing the role of Caleb on Netflix’s hit serial drama, 13 REASONS WHY. He has also appeared in multiple procedurals including: THE BLACKLIST, BLUE BLOODS, and CHICAGO PD. As for comedy, RJ played Thomas West in CW’s THE CARRIE DIARIES, and appeared in multiple episodes of HBO’s GIRLS.

We’ll spend the 11-weeks covering each of the following popular forms of TV:
Procedurals (LAW & ORDER, THE BLACKLIST, SCANDAL); Sitcoms (FRIENDS, MODERN FAMILY, and LIV & MADDIE); Serial Dramas (13 REASONS WHY, RIVERDALE, and THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA)

Final Showcase:
At the end of the 11 weeks, we’ll perform selections from all 3 genres for family, friends, and scouting industry guests!

Can’t make all 11 classes? Not to worry, we will be offering a make-up class!
