Almost, Maine

Almost, Maine Viewing Party

Join us December 6, via Zoom for a virtual performance of Almost, Maine!

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

ALMOST, MAINE is an ensemble show written by Tony Nominated Actor and Playwright John Cariani (FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, SOMETHING ROTTEN, THE BAND’S VISIT).

When: Sunday, December 6
Time: 2 PM ET
Cost: 5.00

This show is made up of two person scenes and monologues that will ensure every member of our cast has their moment to shine! There’s no such thing as a lead role in this production, as all parts are equal in size.

There is no audition required to participate, actors must submit a self tape prior to our first rehearsal. Roles will be handed out on October 4.

Please Submit a Self Tape Before Our 1st Rehearsal:
Deadline to register and submit a monologue is September 27.

Please Prepare:
A one-minute contemporary monologue from a published play.

Click Here for Self Tape Guidelines

Need a monologue? Email us to request one after registration.

The entire rehearsal process will take place via zoom. Actors will utilize zoom’s features, such as breakout rooms, to rehearse 1-on-1 with their scene partners and Joe, our director.

On our final day, we will film the production using virtual backgrounds and the actor’s own home environments. The show will be edited together, and we’ll be hosting a viewing party with the cast, family, friends, and scouting industry guests 2 weeks later!

Participants will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet with a front facing camera, and you must download the free ZOOM app to participate!
