Christian Fleming

Christian Fleming is a Manhattan-based director/choreographer. His work has been seen at theaters in New York and across the country. Recently, Christian’s work was selected to represent the US at the upcoming Prague Quadrennial 2023 celebrating innovative approaches to theater-making. His work has been recognized with the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society’s Gielgud Fellowship working under Tony-Winner Darko Tresnjak (Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder – Broadway), a United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Award, and Christian is a three-time winner of the Wisconsin State Theatre Festival Best Direction Award.

Credits include: Miss Saigon (Nat’l Tour), The Great Divorce (Nat’l Tour), A Mary Wilson Christmas Spectacular (Chicago and Tour), Kiss Me Kate (pre-Broadway tryout at Hartford Stage), Storyville (Off-Broadway), Sing the Silence starring Tony-Nominee Melissa Errico (Public Theater), The Haunted Train (Unmasked Theatre Co.), Fable (NYMF), Sweeney Todd (Playmakers Rep), Noises Off (NCT), Bubble Boy (American Theater Group), 9 to 5 (Sheboygan Theatre Company).

Passionate about the training and education of the next generation of theater artists, Christian has taught workshops at NYU, Fordham University, and the University of Oklahoma. He previously directed A Class Act NY’s productions of Spamalot, Urinetown, Beauty and the Beast, and Honk Jr.
