A.C.A.N.Y.’s Spring 2026 Junior Off-Broadway Production: INTO THE WOODS JR.

Students ages 12 & 13 may also audition for our main-stage production of INTO THE WOODS, the full Broadway two-act version! We’ll cast you where you fit best!

Synopsis
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.

(1) In-Person Audition Info
When: Saturday, Jan. 17 and Sunday, Jan. 18
Time: 11 AM – 2 PM (select 1 time slot upon registration, link coming soon!)
Where: Ripley-Grier Studios – 305 W 38th St (b/t 8th and 9th Ave., closer to the corner of 8th).
Sign in 15 minutes prior to audition time. Be prepared to wait!

(2) Self-Tape Audition Info

Rehearsal Schedule
There will be 12 rehearsals, 2-3 Conflicts Allowed!

Rehearsal Conflicts
We accept 2-3 pre-approved absences. We film each rehearsal. If you miss a rehearsal, you are expected to review the material on your own time before the next rehearsal.

Saturday: May 16
Sundays: Mar. 8, 15, 22, 29; Apr. 12, 19, 26; May 3, 10, 17, May 31*
Time: 1:30-6 PM (*May 31 is extended until 7:30 PM for costuming)
Where: Pearl Studios – 500 8th Ave, NYC

Mandatory Tech Night
When: Friday, Jun. 5
Time: 3:30-9:30 PM
Where: The Riverside Theatre – 91 Claremont Ave, NYC (b/t 120th and 122nd St. – near Columbia University)

*Tech Is Mandatory
