DESCRIPTION:Ages 12-19  |  Space is limited to just 24 advanced actors | This camp ends in a Final Showcase in an Off-Broadway Theatre for family and scouting industry professionals. \nSession 2: Monday – Friday\, August 6 – August 10\, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. \nSOLD OUT! Contact us for waitlist details!\nDue to the overwhelming response\, we have added another July Senior Pre-Professional Program (Ages 12-19) here! \nA Class Act NY’s Pre-Professional Program is for a select group of artists who are ready for the challenge of honing their singing\, dancing\, & acting skills through exploring more advanced work. \nWe will design a unique medley of musical theatre songs that will showcase actors’ individual talents through a combination of solos\, duets and trios. \nMoreover\, performers will work together as a full ensemble on large full cast musical numbers through a combination of private and group instruction with various Broadway instructors. \nWorkshops with Broadway Guest Artists Include:\n• Scene Study & Script Analysis\n• Vocal Technique\n• Musical Theatre Audition Technique\n• Mock Broadway Dance Call Audition \nBroadway Matinee & Talkback: On Wednesday\, participants will be treated to a Broadway Matinee of 9-time Tony Nominated Show\, DEAR EVAN HANSEN and a talkback with actors after the show! \nMany of our previous participants met their agents through us and are now working actors! Many have booked Broadway Shows\, National Tours\, TV Series\, Films and more! \nVideo Audition Instructions: Please sing 32 bars a cappella of a musical theatre song. Click here for self-tape guidelines and video submission instructions. \nTuition includes a free ACANY t-shirt\, ticket to a Broadway show\, and 3 complimentary tickets to the final performance!
