Special July 4th Schedule: Join us for either four (Mon-Thur) or five days (Mon-Fri)! Only campers who join us for five days will participate in the final showcase.

Camp meets online for 3 hours and 15 minutes daily.

Campers will have the amazing opportunity to strengthen their singing, dancing, and acting skills through private and group instruction!

Daily Dance + Warm-Up
We begin each day with an energizing and educational vocal and physical warm-up with our Broadway Director, Morgan Weed.

Private Lessons
Included in the cost of camp is a free 35-minute one-on-one session with our Broadway Director, Morgan Weed, to supplement what is being learned during the camp day, and a free 15-minute dance private with Pro Dancer, Thea Fogel. Lessons will take place outside of normal camp hours.

Campers will take educational workshops throughout the week led by their Broadway Director, Morgan Weed and Special Guest Instructors including Voice-Over & Broadway Artist, Sean Patrick Doyle and Broadway’s Ashley Kate Adams!

Weekly Schedule of Workshops

Monday: Musical Theatre Scene Study with Broadway’s Morgan Weed
Work on scenes from some of Broadway’s most beloved musicals! Actors will work together to dissect scenes beat by beat, and learn what it takes to give a compelling performance. Actors will be paired up and assigned to a Zoom Breakout Room where they will work on their scene independently and Morgan will check in to provide individualized coaching.

Tuesday: Voice-Over & Dialect with Voice-Over & Broadway Artist, Sean Patrick Doyle
Voice-over acting is unlike any other type of acting and requires an actor to make bold, gutsy choices that are original, specific, and outside of the box! Learn how to create living, breathing characters for cartoons and animated feature films! We’ll do some work on dialects within this context as well, helping bring our cartoon characters to life!

Wednesday: Acting Through Song and Proper Vocal Technique with Broadway’s Morgan Weed
Work on song interpretation and presentation, and learn about proper vocal technique! Campers can sing their own 16-bar cut in this masterclass. If you don’t currently have a 16-bar cut, not to worry! We will be sending out a few cuts prior to camp. Not interested in singing solo for the group? Don’t fret! You can elect to work on your 16-bar cut solo during your private lesson!

Thursday: Improvisation & Theatre Games with Broadway’s Ashley Kate Adams
Strengthen your improv skills through fun games and activities! Learn how to analyze situations quickly and think on your feet! Not only is improv a ball, it’s a huge part of live theatre and a great skill for all actors to have! Learn how to recover quickly when things go awry in a live theatre performance!

Friday: Final Showcase Prep & Performance
Campers who will be joining us for the full five-day program, have the awesome opportunity to perform in a final showcase for family and friends live on Zoom! We will start the day with a run through and then our loved ones will join us for your zoom debut!

Broadway Star Q&A with Alex Boniello (DEAR EVAN HANSEN)
One of Broadway’s biggest stars, Alex Boniello, will zoom in for an informative Q&A! Ask him everything you’ve ever wanted to know about starring on Broadway, or the business of show business!

Supplemental Materials
In addition to our classes, campers will be provided with educational videos, lessons from ACANY’s archive, helpful articles and more to explore independently after camp hours.

Final Showcase
Campers who join us for all five days will perform in an online final showcase for family and friends! Zoom in to watch performers present what they have learned throughout the week! (If your loved ones can’t make it live, a recorded version will be distributed via email a few weeks after camp!)

Participants will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet with a front-facing camera, and you must download the free ZOOM app to participate!
