A Class Act NY’s industry showcases provide aspiring actors the unbelievable opportunity to perform for 20 scouting agents & managers in one evening. \nPrevious participants are now working professionally and are starring on Broadway\, in television series\, films and commercials. Click here to read about some of our students’ professional progress. \nThe biggest agencies and management firms in town attend our showcases including CESD\, Abrams Artists (A3)\, Stewart Talent\, DDO Artists\, Zuri\, Take 3 Talent\, Carson Adler\, Carson Kolker\, Parkside Management\, Sinclair Management and many more. Contact us at for the complete list of attendees! \nThe fee to participate is 295.00. For an additional 90.00\, you can workshop your pieces with one of our Broadway coaches! Learn if your piece(s) showcase your unique talents! \nAll actors must sign on at 7:20 PM ET for a mandatory meeting. The Showcase begins promptly at 7:30 PM ET. \nBelow is what you will be expected to perform for the talent reps! You should be off-book (meaning fully memorized) on the night of the showcase! \nWarning to All Performers\nThere is no audition required\, but you must send us a video of what you plan to perform at least 72 hours before the Showcase\, so we can determine that their length is within the requested time-frame. If you do not send us your material in advance\, or end up going over- you will be cut off. All participants must also send us a digital copy of your headshot and resume at least 72 hours prior to the showcase! \nPerformance Requirements\n \nAges 4 – 6\nActors between 4 – 6 years old will only perform a commercial in our showcase. After registration\, we will send you a commercial. Parents: the talent reps understand that your child is young. They can tell a lot from a commercial read and how focused your child is during the zoom audition. They will be looking at your child for theatre\, film\, tv and voice-over representation\, and if you are local to NYC (2 hours by car or train\, the farthest)\, they will also be considering your child for commercials\, voice-over and commercial print work. No exceptions: your child MAY NOT sing or perform a monologue in our showcase unless they are turning 7 in the next 2 months. \nAges 7 and Over – Non-Singers\nIf you are seeking legit representation (theatre\, film\, TV)\, and you are a non-singer\, please perform a one-minute monologue. \nAges 7 and Over – Singers\nIf you are a singer who is looking for legit representation (theatre\, film\, TV)\, you must sing a 16-bar cut with a backing track or a cappella and perform a one-minute monologue. \nActors Seeking Commercial Rep ONLY\nIf you already have legit representation or are only interested in seeking a commercial\, voice-over and commercial print agent or manager\, please indicate so on your registration form and we will send you a commercial to perform shortly after you register. \nImportant Things To Consider When Enrolling\nIf you currently have a manager and/or an agent\, you must disclose this information on the registration form at the time of enrollment. If you have questions\, and are unsure if you are able to have more than one talent representative working for you at the same time\, please email us your questions. If you are looking to move from one agency or management firm to another\, you must let us know in advance. \nCommon Questions\nYou may have two agents at one time: you may have a legit agent at one firm and a voice-over/ commercial agent at another\, however\, you cannot have two legit agents at two different firms at the same time. Similarly\, you cannot have two commercial/voice-over agents at two different firms at the same time. \nYou cannot have two managers. You can only have one at any given moment. \nSome people like to have both an agent and a manager\, but it’s not necessary to have both at the same time. \nConfused?
