SUMMARY:ACANY’s Got Talent Variety Show to Benefit ACCO
DESCRIPTION:No Audition Required | Ages 12-20s | Monday\, November 1 \nDirected by Broadway Star & Playwright\, Lauren “Coco” Cohn (MAMMA MIA!\, FOUND) \nAll performers and attendees of this event must be fully vaccinated. \nPerformers ages 12-20s will have the amazing opportunity to show off their talents at the historic Triad Theatre in NYC on Monday\, November 1 in an effort to raise money for The American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO). Sadly\, some ACANY alumni are currently struggling to fight this insidious disease\, and as an organization we strongly identify with ACCO’s mission to offer community support to those affected by Childhood Cancer. \nOur Variety Show will be the first of two events in collaboration with ACCO and alumna Molly Oldham (2x brain cancer warrior) \nUnlike previous ACANY Cabarets that only featured singers\, we are going to switch up our fall fundraiser! \nStandup? Tap-dancer? Singer/Songwriter? Magician? Dog act? Spoken Word Poet? Well…maybe no dog acts- but we want to see what special talents you bring to the table! Of course\, singers are still welcome! \nTickets for the performance are $55 (general admission) plus a 2 drink minimum. All performers are required to purchase 4 tickets. \nEach performer will have a 45 minute zoom rehearsal with our Director to prepare! On the night of the show\, singers can elect to perform with a backing track or without live accompaniment. If you would like to perform with an accompanist\, or if you would prefer an in-person rehearsal over a zoom rehearsal\, there will be an additional cost. \nSpots are first come\, first serve! \nAges: 12-20s\nWhen: Monday\, November 1\nTime: 7 PM Showtime; Call time is 4 PM\nWhere: The Triad – 158 W. 72nd St. \n \nCLICK TO REGISTER or TO PURCHASE TICKETS
