Each week participants will boldly explore different approaches to becoming free, full, and funny in front of the camera. Using a combination of psychology, improv, and preparation, participants will practice scene work and “play” to release their inner funny. The main thrust in all our work together will be connecting to our own sense of personal joy. It’s through that joy that all great work springs from.
Focus of Class:
• Cultivating and Connecting to your Personal Joy
• Developing a Relationship with the Camera
• Dealing with and Mastering Nerves
• Improv Techniques to Open your Comic Receptors
• Using Mistakes to your Benefit
• The Heroes of Comedy; Comedy Archetypes and Studying the Greats
• Cold Reading Techniques
Final Showcase with 4 Talent Reps: Together, we will work towards an online final showcase in which family, friends, 2 scouting agents, and 2 scouting managers will Zoom in to see your performance!
