DESCRIPTION:Ages 12-19 | By Audition or Invite Only | Sundays\, September 22 – November 24 | 11 AM – 1 PM | Cost: 895.00 \nSold Out! Email us to join the wait list! \nFrom Stanislavski > Strasberg > Adler > Hagan \nPayment Plans and Make Up Class Available – please call our office at 212.315.3010 or email here to set up a plan today! \n  \nAudition info: Perform a 1 minute or shorter monologue and email it to auditions@aclassactny.com. \n  \nBroadway and TV/Film Instructor: James Leo Ryan (ANNIE\, NCIS) \n  \nStudents will learn the techniques developed by four masters of acting: Constantin Stanislavski\, Lee Strasberg\, Stella Adler\, and Uta Hagen. \nRespected stars who employed these techniques include legends such as Marilyn Monroe\, Judy Garland\, Robert De Niro\, Al Pacino\, Mark Ruffalo\, Jessica Alba\, Alec Baldwin\, Dustin Hoffman\, Matthew Broderick\, and many others too numerous to mention here. \n  \nThrough scene work and exercises students will learn the core principles of these distinguished instructors:\n• Stanislavski: The father of the naturalistic theatre movement. His approach incorporates spiritual realism\, emotional memory\, dramatic and self-analysis and disciplined practice.\n• Strasberg: Inspired by Stanislavski\, he encourages actors to deepen their connection to the work by creating the character’s emotional experiences in their own life.\n• Adler: The only American actor who studied with Stanislavski. Unlike Strasberg\, her technique emphasizes imagination as well as emotional recall.\n• Hagen: She was a Tony Award winning actor and best selling author\, but also well known for her approach to acting. She emphasizes realism and truth above all else\, and encourages actors to substitute their own experiences for the given circumstance. \n  \nStudents will learn to utilize these techniques in performances as well as in auditions\, and will be able to determine which guru’s style works best for them. \nThis class is perfect for the actor looking to delve deeper into their work and take their acting to the next level. \n  \nFinal Showcase: Actors will present their scene work to loved ones and scouting Talent Reps. \nPayment Plans Available – please call our office at 212.315.3010 or email here to set up a plan today! \nCan’t make every class?
