Austin Marquez

Choreographer & Dance Instructor

Austin Marquez is a choreographer, teaching artist and performer. Austin has choreographed for several dance schools around the country and theatrical productions with A Class Act NY including The Drowsy ChaperoneThe Addams Family, and A Chorus Line. He has taught on the college level for the musical theatre program at Marymount Manhattan College, where he also received his BFA in musical theatre. Austin uses his background in acting and fitness, along with his dance training to give his students the ability to not only grow in their understanding of their anatomy and become physically stronger, but also to explore emotion and story telling through movement. He strives to give his students the tools to become confident in their abilities, to take risks in their explorations, and to find community and support in their classes.  Austin encourages his students to take every opportunity they have to learn and grow as artist; to never waste a moment!  “Don’t wait until tomorrow to reach your highest potential, it starts NOW! The minute you step into class, use every moment to push yourself and to discover ever more than you thought was possible.”
