Our advanced musical theatre weekly classes are an ongoing deep dive into the essential disciplines that make up musical theatre: singing, dancing and acting. Instructors include prominent Broadway Stars, Casting Directors and Talent Representatives who will provide students with a superior education in a fun and supportive environment!

Actors who are interested in auditioning for musical theatre programs will benefit from working with the Enrollment Manager at Pace University’s School of the Arts, a Broadway Actor and Pace University School of the Arts Adjunct Professor and a professional Music Director. The Enrollment Manager will give students in inside look at the pre-screen process and what he wants to see in applicants. The Broadway actor and MD will work with students on their audition songs, interpretation and presentation. LEARN MORE

Bring in your go-to audition cuts and have the chance to hone your skills for the first three weeks of class. If we think there are better song choices for you, we will guide you in finding appropriate pieces that will showcase your unique personality and vocal range.

Then, for the final 3 weeks, have the chance to receive feedback and coaching from 3 different scouting industry pros including a Broadway Casting Director, a scouting Talent Agent and a Talent Manager! LEARN MORE

Instructor: Broadway and On-Camera Actor, Morgan Weed (AMERICAN PSYCHO, THE GREATEST SHOWMAN, CHICAGO PD, THANKSGIVING, ELEMENTARY, PERSON OF INTEREST)

In this intense and challenging 6-week course, students will work on three major components of acting: musical theatre audition technique, acting through song, and in depth monologue work.

Students will hone their audition technique as well as learn how to cut music and monologues for audition purposes. By the end of the 6 weeks, actors will have at least one, if not two, contrasting songs and monologues that are “audition ready.” At the end of the 6-week session, students will perform in a final showcase for family, friends and a few Talent Reps! Please sing 32 bars, a cappella, of a musical theatre song that is age appropriate.

Agent & Manager Showcase
Singers & Non-Singers:
One-minute, age-appropriate monologue from a published play. Pieces should be conversational in tone. Monologues MUST be memorized. Bring 2 copies with you! *Monologues are mandatory for the Agent & Manager Showcase audition.

Singers Must Also Prepare:
32 bars of a musical theatre song to be sung a cappella.

Advanced Programs
Junior Scenes Into Song, Senior Musical Theatre Scenes Into Song, Junior Musical Theatre Audition Process A to Z, College & Conservatory Prep
Please sing 32 bars, a cappella, of a musical theatre song that is age appropriate.

Voice-Over, Method & Meisner
Please perform a 1-minute monologue that is age appropriate.
