Work with Bobby Cronin, an award-winning composer/writer, in a three-hour songwriting workshop!
In this unique workshop, each student will have individual time with Bobby and receive feedback and coaching on their original compositions. Bobby will focus student’s attention on storytelling through song and the in’s and out’s of songwriting for various mediums such as theatre, pop, jazz and folk.
All participants must be prepared to play and sing their song(s). If written for guitar, ukelele or an easily transported instrument, please bring your own to the workshop. A piano will be provided if needed.
Perform your piece for Bobby who will offer constructive feedback to each student!
Bobby’s projects include: Mary & Max [based on the claymation film of the same name] with book writer Crystal Skillman and director Stafford Arima which will have its World Premiere at Theatre Calgary this coming fall. Other notable works include: The Cover (starring Glee’s Ali Stroker), Till Soon, Anne, Welcome To My Life (W2ML), Alone in the U.S., The Concrete Jungle, Daybreak. His albums include: “Reach The Sky: Bobby Cronin Live at The Beechman” and “The Concrete Jungle International Studio Cast Recording”. Bobby also works in film/TV/web, scoring and writing songs for many award winning short films, webseries, and dance videos. A Yale graduate, Bobby won the Michael P. Manzella Award for Excellence in Arts, Scholastics and Character. Member of ASCAP, Dramatists Guild.
